Have you ever wondered what metal the Liberty Bell is made of? What material any “real” bell is made of? Usually BRASS. And why is that material used? Because it “rings”! Because its perfect for converting mechanical energy into acoustic energy. That’s why many professional guitarists use brass guitar nuts. It has a noticeable improvement on sustain and tone. A huge improvement over the cheap stock plastic nuts supplied with most guitars.
“No-Buzz” Design to Eliminate Any String Buzz
Our flat-bottom nut is hand ground and sanded from solid brass and round-slotted for perfect string placement. All hand-made – no machines. Very attractive brushed surface finish. Fits any Strat or Tele style guitar with a flat bottom groove and many others – 1/8″ thick, .21″ tall, 1 11/16″ long.
And we make it .015″ taller than usual to minimize the chance of any low string
. This helps tremendously if you have a string buzz issue. Action is still superb, but the buzz has been eliminated. And as always, we give each string slot a slight arc to minimize any chance of string hang-up within the slot.
